I specifically wanted a table set that wasn't flimsy plastic because my kids tend to climb on everything. This wood is dense and heavy enough that it doesn't tip or slide easily when they lean heavily against the back of the chair. It feels very safe.

We set this up as a "small desk and chair" mode by putting one of the chairs under the table so it acts as a shelf for his coloring books. It looks like a proper little workstation. He feels very grown-up sitting there doing his "work."

I appreciate that every single edge and corner on the table and chairs has been heavily rounded off. My toddler is clumsy and trips constantly, so not having sharp angles in the playroom is a huge relief. The finish is very smooth with no splinters.

When my daughter isn't using it as a desk, we flip the main table over and she uses it as a little bench to sit on while putting her shoes on. The backrest (which is usually the tabletop) feels very secure. It's a clever piece of multi-functional furniture.

This is the perfect height for my 2-year-old and 4-year-old to sit and have their afternoon snacks together. The surface is slick enough (on the non-chalkboard side) to wipe up spilled juice easily. The cutouts on the sides of the chairs make them easy for the kids to move around themselves.

It looks simple, but getting all the screws perfectly flush so it doesn't rock took some patience. It's solid wood, which is great for durability, but it means you have to use a bit of muscle during assembly. Once it's together, it’s practically indestructible.

The wood is heavy and it doesn't wobble at all when my son leans on it.

I honestly bought this just as a table, but turning the whole thing on its side to use as a storage rack is my favorite feature. We currently have it flipped up in the playroom acting as a standing bookshelf, and the chairs are being used as little side tables. It’s incredibly versatile.

We have a small apartment, so the fact that the two chairs tuck perfectly under the table is brilliant. When they aren't using it for snacks or crafts, I push it all together against the wall and it looks like a single, neat block. The grey color is very subtle and modern.

My kids love having a dedicated spot to draw, and the chalkboard tabletop is a huge hit. However, be prepared for chalk dust everywhere. It wipes clean pretty easily with a damp cloth, but I definitely recommend getting dustless chalk if you're putting this in a carpeted room.
