At HICOOO, we believe that wood is a valuable and renewable resource that deserves to be used responsibly. Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond productionwe focus equally on how materials are handled at the end of their use cycle. Through careful sorting and multiple reuse pathways, we make sure that every possible piece of wood is put to good use rather than wasted.

Shredding & Repurposing

One of the primary recycling methods involves shredding discarded plywood using specialized machinery. During this process, contaminants such as screws and nails are carefully removed. The resulting wood material can then be repurposed into mulch for landscaping, soil improvement, erosion control, or animal bedding. This approach allows wood to re-enter natural and agricultural systems in a practical and environmentally responsible way.

Biofuel

Wood materials that are not suitable for direct reuse or remanufacturing can be processed into biomass for renewable energy. As a biofuel source, recycled wood contributes to heating or power generation, helping reduce dependence on fossil fuels while extending the functional value of the material.

New Composites

Recovered wood can also serve as feedstock for new engineered wood products. Through controlled processing, recycled wood fibers are used to produce materials such as MDF or particleboard. This method keeps wood in circulation within the manufacturing ecosystem and reduces the need for virgin raw materials.

 Creative Reuse

Smaller scraps that cannot enter industrial recycling streams are not overlooked. These pieces can be creatively reused to make items such as paperweights, bookends, or artistic objects. Creative reuse reflects our belief that even the smallest offcuts still hold value.

Separate from Clean Wood

Proper sorting is essential to effective recycling. Plywood that has been painted, stained, or otherwise treated is never mixed with clean wood. This separation ensures safety, maintains material quality, and allows each type of wood to be processed in the most appropriate way.

Our Commitment

At HICOOO, recycling is not an afterthoughtit is an extension of our respect for materials and the environment. By applying thoughtful recycling and reuse practices, we uphold our principle of wasting no wood and contribute to a more sustainable and responsible wood industry.
