You can totally feel the slightly textured basswood grain, which gives the blocks an incredible grip when building crazy tall towers! The eco-friendly water-based dyes are a huge plus, giving me total peace of mind while my toddlers play.
We've been using these blocks to build some seriously cool flat mazes and mini cities all over the floor. They are pretty awesome for open-ended play, though I gotta admit, stepping on a rogue block hurts like crazy!
